Department of Microbiology

Introduction:

The department is established in academic year 2009-10, with availability of sophisticated as well as high profile instruments, with separate infrastructural facility for teaching and learning. The department is continuously engaged in teaching and research activities as well. The emphasis is given on strengthening of student’s ability and knowledge to work in adverse as well as favorable conditions at various levels and fields such as private or government etc by providing them an opportunity to work onsite and offsite.

Aim:

• The main aim and motive for the departmental establishment is to produce skillful, scientifically cultivated minds with the background of microbial scientific research and development.

Objectives:

1. To bridge the gap between students, industry, institute and society requirements by providing knowledge of Microbiology and proper training of its techniques to the students.
2. To mould the students with basic knowledge of microbiology with the intention of their career in higher degree.
3. To develop scientific thinking capacity and analysis views among students.
4. To encourage & promote self employment in the microbiology.
