Introduction:

The Department of Diary Science was established in the Toshniwal Arts, Commerce and Science College, Sengaon, Hingoli. The Department of Dairy Science is multidisciplinary department established in 2010, committed to the development of academic excellence in teaching. We offer a 3-year B.Sc. Degree in Dairy Science. The department is highly motivated and excited to share both their knowledge and their passion in the field of Dairy Science.  As an integral part of the undergraduates education, the Department carries Dairy programme which is a part of the current requirements in practical field. The department also thinking to create a strong alumni network which support placement of students and trying to organize National conference, Poster competitions, Science exhibitions in upcoming time to inculcate research and competitive culture amongst the faculty and students.

Aim:

• The aim of the Department is to strengthen its core activities of teaching, training and research. The Department would also like to expand in future, the development of technology and industrial Interaction under its auspices.
• To provides onsite training to the student for preparation and marketing of dairy products.

Objectives:

1. To study the origin and evolution of the dairy breeds and its inhabitants through the study of milk production, wool production etc.
2. To study different types feeds and fodders for dairy farm.
3. To study about milk, draft and dual purpose breeds.
4. To study the Indian and Exotic breeds.
5. An understanding of the changing tendency and requirement of society.
6. To maintain and improve professional competence in order to give better service to the community.
7. To transfer the modern technologies to the people through extension.
8. To create awareness about different dairy activities among the folks in the region through trainings & demonstrations.
9. To encourage & promote the self employment in the Dairy sector.
