Department of Marathi

Introduction:

The department of Marathi was established during 1993 since the beginning of the college. The college is established in the region which has given a Saint Namdev who has strengthened Marathi literature with his Abhanga, kirtans and Gathas as well. The main aim for establishment of this department was to develop the awareness about Marathi literature among the rural students as well as rural folks in the vicinity. In addition to this, the department is engaged in several cultural activities.

Aim:

• To create Awareness about Marathi language along with different literatures and to provide encouragement for generation of new literature as well as writes.

Objectives:

1. To create awareness among the students about different types literatures.
2. To promote and encourage creation of new literature and writes in the vicinity of the college.
3. To create awareness among the student about difference dialect language and standard language.
4. To conserve the dignity and to promote the use of Marathi language in the era of technology and internet.
